Since it's well past dark by the time I get home from work, I've only been able to hover it in my driveway. But so far it seems good. I'll fly it this weekend and will have a better feel for it, but my first impression is a good one. |

Took it apart and milled the slots. They are 6mm wide and are 4mm from the ends.

Have you measured before and after temps to see if it helps?

I used a 401 with my Shogun and it works great.... maybe a little over kill, but it's hard to beat a 401 !

Hi Bimmer,
How is the test going on for the CC25 1.08 on Gov and Outrunner 400S? Seems that some of my friends are still having problem.. |

I haven't tried the governor mode yet. It's doing so well in Fixed mode that I haven't wanted to change it (if it ain't broke, don't fix it).
I'll probably try it this weekend and report how it does. |

Do any of you use an extra radio channel to control the governor head speed? Is this necessary?

The CC25 have built in Governors, I don't believe the Align ESC Does. It isn't necessary though, you adjust your throttle curve to govern the head speed. In the micro helis, it's best to use gearing (different sized pinions) and run the throttle curve close to 100% to get the appropriate head speed.
I actually have heard of someone using a GV-1 on a micro-heli, but I've never actually seen it done Mike...

I've read about that technique, but have not been able to come up with a compelling enough reason to try it. I can see how it would work, but unless I'm missing something, I can't figure out what the benefit would be.
Unless you are using an airplane radio and can't somehow mix the pitch and throttle channels, I don't know what it could be used for. |

No, in the CC25 you have like 5 or 6 programming options. One of the Options is Governor. No extra leads necessary. People are having trouble running in Governor mode with the Outrunner type motors (like the align 400S)
