It is the dual foam off of a TGN filter. I didn't like how big it was with the mount so I ended up just cutting the foam off of it and using a screw clamp to hold it on.

Perfect. I've got a couple of those kicking around the parts bin.

I've been contemplating this myself. Which has led me to this idea so far...

Makes it a bit more compact height wise than a 105hzr, much easier to package.

Crank gets flipped around and cut, in this case an electronic ignition system will be used.

This would need a fan and shroud like the Zenoah PUH's and nitro's, but it can be lighter than the Zehoah RC format. While I am not a fan of the Radikal airframe, Century did a very good job with the cooling, this could run a similar system.

Well there's two options we (Joey and I) are looking into either radial or axial. After talking to Al, he recommended an axial setup, and what we learned from the 570 is an axial system is much lighter than radial.

Here is a screen grab with the century fan shroud, which seems to be the path of least resistance (manufacturing wise).

For comparison though here is this Frankenstein 300, next to a PUH format and RC format Zenoah.

Being much more compact, it opens up some more air frame options for conversions....

Very cool. Nice work. I know it's early here, but have you looked into having the case halves made?

Have a few more design hurdles to work through before I send parts out for quote. I'm not worried about getting the prototype parts manufactured. All the Zenoah bits have been ordered, and Al has already modified a crank for me.
