Sorry for the delay. Here is the file. I loaded the file on a guy's 450 pro yesterday and he liked it also. I hope it works for you all. You'll need to add expo in your radio since I don't put it in the software. If you are running your gyro off the gear travel adjustment. Start with 45%

Mickey, tried your file today, and my heli was shaking like hell. I have wag on all axes. Could you post your entire set-up, and also a picture with your tape combination?

Thanks!

What do I do?

Is your phasing set properly? The swash driver should be adjusted so the grip linkages are perfectly parallel to the main shaft. I saw a guy flying his 3G with the linkages at 45 degrees,,,,which gives ail inputs with elev stick movement.

Let me piggy-back here since we have the attention of a couple experienced guys;

I've developed the classic pitch up from FFF which indicates the elev gain is too low. If I increase the elev gain 5% the pitch up corrects,,, but during ail rolls I get a elev bobble which would mean elev gain too high.

I haven't messed with the PC software because I simply don't understand it yet. I upgraded to the 2.1v but left the factory settings for the T-Rex 500.

Where should I start?

Thx guys!!

That's weird, are my gain settings higher than yours? I've loaded that same file 5 other heli's and the gains were spot on. I'm running the stock Align pad with no strap. In this video you can see the setup after I strip the main gear.

Using one layer of 3M 4011. I will switch to the stock pad and try again.
Thanks!

Do you have your pot. reset to 12.00 on the unit?
Can you tell us your swash mix values from the TX?
Thanks!

Ya, I recently swtiched it to the boom for CG reasons. I even had to add weight to the tail as well. My swash values are at 65% for AIR and ELE and 50% on the pitch. I think when I did my DIR mode I was at 70%. I still play with the file just about every flight because it's not 100% perfect in my opinion. I'm 100% confident with adjusting all the gains, it's the miscellaneous settings I'm trying to get a handle on. I can watch a heli and tell which gain is to high.

Mickey,
What are your pot settings? I will be helping a friend out this weekend with his 450.

First of all the pitch up might be an indication of to little ELEV gain, BUT you must not increase the elev gain, rather increase the COLLECTIVE COMPENSATE in miscallanious settings. Try to set this first untill you get minimum pitch up, then do the following for the rolls.

In the same page to get rid of the elev bobble in FF rolls you can adjust the CYCLIC PITCH COMPENSATE, try increasing or decreasing this value by 5 points and see what effect it has on your rolls.

I have attached my settings that works perfectly for me on my 500 in this thread

Wouldn't a particular settings file be 100% dependable on where the gyro sensor is placed in relation to the axis they are measuring? I didn't think swapping files was a good idea unless both gyros are in the exact same place on the exact same heli.

I agree, there could be a lot of things different which could make file sharing difficult. I said this a while back in one of my post.

Since we are talking about a 450, there's really only one logical place to mount it. I've put this file in about 6 450's and it was really good, not perfect but a lot better than stock settings.

Just curious, how many people are sure they have their CG correct? This is very important on a FBL setup.
