Default how do these gears sound????

Well, this is the point I'm at! Is that "clicking" ok??? dumb question, but it's not binding at all - just loud. If you notice when I turn the clutch bell only, it's quiet, and no binding EVER...just loud.

What do you guys think??!!??

Hi
I would move the pionen a bit forward so that is is centrered on the crowngear.
I dont adjust the gears as in the manual.
I center the pionen on the crowngear, loosen both clamps on the mainaxle.
Then I lift the heli in the main grips, and then push down the lower claps and tighten it.
Then i place the heli on the table, and push up the upper clamps.
It has worked perfect for many years, and it was a tip from Eric Larson
My Stratus also make some noise when turning the grears, but not as loud as yours...

My spectra sounded like that after a few flights just needed to tighten the mesh a little.

Back in the X-Cell days I uses a piece of paper to set the mesh. Typing paper seemed to thick so I used two ot three layers of tissue paper. I would expect a bit of noise. If in doubt set the mesh on the tight side, but without binding as it will wear in.
