Default Question about wiring mobius to boscam TX

Hi all,

I am new to all this so please forgive if this is a stupid question.

I'm trying to wire up my Boscam video TX to my Mobius with the video out cable, and generally using this as my guide:

http://www.personal-drones.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/mobius-fat-shark-fpv-complete-setup.jpg

I was under the impression that for the wires going out of the video TX, the left most red and black wires were to supply power to the camera, the yellow was for vid in to the TX, and the green and white were for audio which I will tape off.

However, on the Mobius out cable, the video has both yellow and black wires, and in the example picture the black is connected to the black on the TX, and the red is taped off along with the green and white, with nothing connected to the Mobius to supply power.

So my question is, how do I supply power to the Mobius in this case?

Can I:

A) split the black wire going out from the TX and run it to both the video out and the power in on the Mobius along with the yellow and red?

Or

b) use the black wire going out from the TX for power on the Mobius and only have the yellow wire connected to the TX for video out?

Or is there some other option I'm not seeing?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Noah

Nobody?

At a friend's advice I tried hooking up just the yellow without the black for vid out, guess what that fried the Mobius =(

Got another one on the way so will still need to answer this question. I now know option B above is not an option =P

Well in case anyone ever stumbles on to this sad thread looking for answers, here they are.

The Mobius wants 5V in. The Boscam TX puts out 12V. You can't send power directly from the Boscam to the Mobius unless you want to cook the Mobius.

So, a solution is to wire the black and yellow on the Boscam TX to the black and yellow on the Mobius out. Then wire the red and black power in on the Mobius to a separate 5v power source. In my case, I put a servo end on with the right pin-out and hooked it up to an unused port on my FC, and all good!

Hello, Noah!
Despite the deafeningly silent response you received from your post, I have found it very useful. Thank you!

I'm missing something in this discussion. The Mobius has a built-in battery. I would think that you do not want to connect any power into or out off the camera. Connect only the ground and video signal out. Right?
