What canopy is this, and where can you get one?

That was seltino. As far as I know he is out of business now.

But I know there's a guy called Michael Wilson who does the same canopies...

Yep, that's where I got my Micro-Proto canopy from. Great guy to deal with, very prompt as well!

Yea, I got it. I really like it. It's not really out there with the color's because our local high school color's are pretty plain with royal blue, white and silver pinstripes and we are known as the Blue Tornado's but i like the way it turned out !
He painted it our colors and then put RHS ( Richlands High School ) on each side and put " tornados " down the front nose.
I know......... what the hell is a blue tornado......LOL We have no idea either.....lol ! But we do have a heck of a football program with a couple of state championships and 6 runner ups.
I think the players will like seeing it fly !
I plan to post a picture or 2 in the next couple of days. I have just had a lot going on lately. I have a heart condition that has been giving me fits and that's the reason I haven't been on the forum as much over the last month or 2.
But I am doing better and will post the pic soon. He really does beautiful work !
Thanks for asking about it .

Hey paccal,
I decided to go ahead and take a couple of pics of the canopy after my last post. I was in a bit of a hurry so please forgive the quality of the pics. One is a little dark........I forgot to check the settings on the camera..
Like I said, mine is not as "fancy" as some of the other paint jobs, but he did exactly as i wanted. I just wanted something that was the school colors and had RHS on it, and the nickname of the school "tornado's".
The pics are not very good, but if you look real hard, you can see were he put the silver under the nose. The whole bottom of the nose is silver.
I am very happy with the job he did !

Hey BigRHS,
Awesome little heli, I think the canopy looks amazing! Michael does excellent work. and as for the football team? I think the boys are going to love the little heli. Send me pictures of the boys while flying the heli. In my case my son was the kicker at Centennial High School and went on to play for UofA until he and Rich Rodriguez met and that was it. But that's why I had mine paintd with the UofA letters. BTW: I'm training the varsity kickers at Peoria High, one of them got an offer from BYU, I'm proud of them. Thanks for the pictures! and take care of yourself!

Nice, how does it fly with the two different set of blades? I notice one white and one blue, I suspect they are even and how do they look when spinning?

At first, even though they are the same blades it didn't fly very well at all. It had a lot of vibration. But i do have a blade balancer and i had to get them both balanced together. The biggest problem was I had bought the blue blades a couple of months after I got the white ones and I had put the KBDD sticker in a little different place on the blades which made a difference.
Once i got the blades balanced it flew great ! It looks pretty good actually. It definitely shows up. I'll try to do a video when i get a chance. I have promised a good friend of mine on here ( huma ) that I would do a video for a while and just have not taken the time to do so, so I need to do that.
I now have both blue blades on the main and the white tail rotor on it and i actually think I like that look better.

I would suspect that while spinning, the blue one "hides" the white one? I'd think you would see the blue more than the white. Still, look's cool that way.
