As cheap as the Nano is, I may have to get me another one for this TDR beauty. I love my scale bird so much I am not changing it, but the next one might be destined for this.
Question is, where is the guy that used to import these canopies for the MCPX and MQX? I have not heard from him in a while and didn't he change his username? I hope he is still in business and can help import these Nano-bods!

Hey Varmc......... how is that scale bird working out for you? We're you able to get a bigger battery into it and what are your fligt times like? How is the durability do the fuse? I am going to pick up an HF MD500 FP and see how the fuse fits the nano. If good, I will order a fuse for it. If not, I will take a look at the Bravo 3 or SX. Let me know how your mods are working for you.
Thanks, Rocketman |

And are the TDR (what does it stand for btw?) and XXtreme canopies more durable than stock canopies? I like the Xtreme ones for the mCPx. Heavier yes but almost indestructible (yes, I do crash a lot )

Hi,
one canopy pin works fine in the TDR canopies. TDR canopies are more durable than stock canopies, but by far not as durable as the (nearly indestructable) Xtreme canopies. Both, Henseleit TDR and Mikado Logo XXtreme are famous and quite expensive RC helis. http://www.henseleit-helicopters.de/index_e.html http://shop.mikado-heli.de/LOGO-700-...&c=6439&p=6439 picture credit: Frank Lachmund; Logo XXtreme big and Nano Walter |

Frank ships worldwide. Always a matter of price, European posts shipping prices are unfortunately very high (I pay within Austria mostly more for shipping than i.e. from Hongkong or from US to Austria). Walter |

Which one is the Xtreme? And you said it does not fly better but does it fly worse or the same?

This was a joke - because these canopies are only "bling" - look very, very cool but do not improve (nor influence negatively) the flight performance. The landing skids of the XXtreme are Xtreme ones. The Logo XXtreme does not have skids like the TDR, as Frank sells them for his TDR-Baby canopies. So I looked around what I had here in my stuff and found those old (but originally packed) skids from Xtreme for Walkera 4#3B, CB100. They look more similar to original XXtreme skids. I modified them to the Nano frame (drilling a hole in the center and mounting with a small screw to the frame, using an o-ring for battery mount - what works perfectly) and here you go ... The Xtreme skids for mCP x would also work but they look little different, they are higher. XXtreme skids and very low, canopy is very low to ground - as you can see on the pics of the Logo. So this looks quite ok for me so far; but the Xtreme canopies (for mCP x and for 4#3B) are quite heavy, as we know. Quote:
Topcopter is the only shop in the US selling Frank Lachmunds stuff so far - maybe they will also sell the Nano canopies? Walter |
