Default RC Aerodyne Super Cobra

We maidened the Super Cobra this afternoon. With 750 mm main blades it has some serious pop. Gov set at 1400 rpm and plenty of climb out and able to hands off hover.

Looking really good!

I am currently building the grey ghost version. Are those the stock main blades?

Yes they are the stock mains ... hover pitch is right at 5.5 degrees. Just one small strip of masking tape on the underside of one of them was needed to get balance just right

Thanks Don!
Got some more flying in on it today. It has no problems covering airspace in short order.

Default AH-1 Superscale Decals

Does anyone know where I can get the decals for the camo version? I have emailed RCA and Roban twice. Once in January, and again in May, and I have gotten no response. I could also use a PDF/image of the decals, and have some made at Callie Graphics. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks. Just hoping to get the decals to complete her. If not, I will fly her without them though.

What is the max battery size WxH to fit both side by side inside? Will 50x56mm Turnigy HD 5000mah fit side by side?

Thanks

Available space in the battery box is approximately 110mm wide x 185mm long and approximately 70mm tall.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the helpful info.

How about the best setup? Motor, ESC, BEC? Head rpm pretty much depends on those.

I have a Hacker 12S 50-10L V3 Turnado 530kV, 100A or 120A HV ESC, 12A BEC, 5000mah 60C for it. Are these good enough for a hs about 1397rpm with 82% power efficiency? Or with a Turnigy competition 500kV at about 1387rpm with higher 86% efficiency?

The fbl system can be either an ikon2 or BeastX Plus, or even a budget K Bar.

I dont know anything about those motors, sorry. I run an Align 750MX 450kV, Castle Talon 120 governed at 1200RPM. But I am using 800mm Spin Blades scale semi-symmetrical blades, not the stock blades. I dont know if my setup would work with the stock blades.

And it flies well at such very low rpm wo boggling at fff circuit? I thought the min rpm for consistently stable fff should be at least 1350rpm.

What fbl system do you use? Battery brand and size? And average flight time on your setup?

Thanks again

Flies perfectly. No bogging. My favorite flying heli right now. I have even done loops and rolls with it.

Steve's Cobra AH-1 (6 min 36 sec)

I use Futaba CGY750. Glacier batteries 6000mAh. On ONE charge I get TWO 6 minute flights and I put back around 70-75% capacity.

How is the landing gear holding up even in a bit harder landing than a normal soft one? Do you have to beef it up?

Wow more than 10 mins a flight is awesome. Is it a 12s pack or 2x 6s?

Any good tips on the full scale pilots?

Is beastX Plus, ikon2 or Naza H good enough for scale flying?

That was nice flying but was it a bit tail heavy?
