Yes I do agree but it's still usefull to know that if you switch it on and pull the stick back the heli is going to come back to you regardless of orientation but not nearly as important as RTH. I would not use it for AP without RTH.

Yeah agreed.
Don't know why they feel RTH is acceptable to leave out - even align have managed it. Perhaps an email expressing your disappointment at the lack of both features may be in order... I will certainly be emailing them as regards the lack of RTH. If they feel an overwhelming customer desire for the features then they could get added down the road.

A few weeks ago, I emailed DJI asking about NAZA-H, they confirmed that it would be RTH available...

Interesting...
I can't find the product page from the DJI website, so it's possible the link above goes to an unfinished page that doesn't have all the details. I guess we'll find out when it starts shipping! I really hope it does have RTH.

There's no mention of RTH in either specs or functions. It does say with the GPS module it will go into a hover in a failsafe condition but does not mention RTH so I do not think it has it.

the rth on the M is awesome. Works perfect. So i'd hope it'd be on the H version.

RTH is pretty trivial compared to building the FBL controller, and the Position Hold. We've got stabilization, position hold and waypoint flying going, but can't do 3D yet. So I don't know why they wouldn't include it. I can only guess that it's marketing. Look at how expensive the Ace One is. They probably intend for a Wookong M to slot in between the two, and it will need some features that go between the NazaM, WKM and Ace One. There is on Ace One for multi-rotors, so no need to hold back features.

Hi, I'm still not clear on the differences between WK H and Naza H. The former cost a lot more but not sure of the advantage over the Naza H. Anyone knows something. Thank you.

I have a Trex 800 E Trekker that is being built and already have DJI WH-Lite installed on my Trex 500E which I plan to remove and instal on my Trex 800 E instead. I need to decide if I should go ahead or wait for the Naza H to come out and use it with my 800E. In that case, the DJI can go into my KDS Innova 600 instead, another heli which I own.I actually do not need the GPS but only the self-leveling function. Should the DJI go into the 800 E and Naza H, whenever it is sold, goes into my KDS 600? Any suggestion, pls. Thank you.

without the instruction manual for more details on programming features etc it's hard to say what the advantage of the wookong-h is now over the naza-h...
On the face of it, the naza-h seems to do pretty much everything the wookong does but also without any limitation on GPS altitude. The wookong-h now seems a bit redundant... you have the high end Ace 1 and the lower end Naza-H, the wookong-H seems a bit lost in the middle with nothing to make it more appealing than the cheaper Naza. I guess we'll find out when we get to see the instruction manual

It seems like the smart thing for DJI to do would to put the altitude limit on the Naza-H and remove the altitude limit on the WKH. That would build the value into the WKH and justify the higher price. Also, the Naza-H may not (I'm not sure) have a barometer built in to provide altitude hold, it may just count on stick position or GPS to hold altitude close but not as exact as the WKH. I'm sure the details will come out soon, but I hope something shows me why my WKH costs so much more.

Thanks, but that doesn't tell me much. DJI doesn't list all the specs. They don't mention the altitude limit for GPS hold on the WKH for example.

So far, I notice that the GPS antenna is smaller on the Naza, and the specs for position hold accuracy is better on the WKH. Still, if I were setting up an aerial photo platform, I don't see where the WKH trumps the Naza yet for so much more money. There has to be something else in comparison that isn't obvious yet.
