quickuk.eu has the black 600 swash in stock. I ordered it from them and I am in the US -- no problems.

Yeah, I know, it sucks. QuickUK were out of stock of the silver swash when I ordered mine in January 2015 too. I think this is old stock and once it's gone, it's gone!

I hope Lynx comes out with their wonder-swash soon. I have the Lynx swashes for the Goblin 570, Blade 450x, 180cfx, and who knows what else. They are high quality.

FWIW, all new 600 V2 kits come with the 690sx swash. No mods suggested or encouraged.

I have never had an issue with the stock swash. Is the 690 geometry different?

Yeah, the geometry is different. More cyclic throw due to the balls that drive the links to the blade grips being farther out from center. More cyclic response with a lower slider value in the vbar software.

Lynx swash is almost done. I'm about to get a Swash for testing.

Will fill you in.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I'm just now building up a logo 550sx I bought used.

After reading about bent swashes and swashes coming apart, I bought a 690 swash (4868) back in December. I just inspected it now and I am easily able to rotate the Delrin cup inside the inner swash. There's even a bit of side play between the cup and the inner swash.

I see the Xxtreme swash has the retainer screws like a few other manufacturers swashes. Seems like a better design. Would have been nice if this was the case for the smaller logo models.

So what's the latest advice for fixing this? Is it still the set screw mod or just wick some thin CA (something I hate doing near bearings)?

i use a simpler approach. after removing the linkage balls, i don't puncture the plastic part. i just drop a tiny bit of wire (or even a small bearing ball) inside the hole and then i screw the linkage ball back. the linkage ball will press the piece of wire onto the plastic part, stopping it from popping up.
do not fly w/o modding the swash some way.

This seems the safest way to go. I think I'll try this. It's sad that I can't fly a Mikado part without modding it. Thanks!

Looks like I am the newest member to the club.
Center on my 690 swash popped tonight, got her down safe which was good.

Is Mik replacing these?

Glad you got the heli down in one piece. Not sure if Mikado will replace it. Email support. Would Mikado USA help?

Looks like the Lynx swash is out of stock. I have some Quick UK and Lynx ones at home for replacement on my Helis in the future.

Contacted Mik USA and they just directed me to Mik Germany.
Have sent them a message, will update with their reply.

This is a 2014 V1 690 so I assume is in the affected batch. Mik USA claim they sent out replacement swash's to all customers, obviously not in this case.

I did the divet and grubscrew mod on both my 690SX swash plates. No signs of play on either my 690SX or 600SX. However, I'm going back to the original swash plate on my 600SX and have just ordered one. I prefer the 600SX V1 geometry to the V2. The 690SX swash plate increases cyclic but not collective throw. I use the outer most holes on the Mikado horns to get a snappy collective response but I can't calibrate 8 degrees above 80 points and my cyclic stops aren't as crisp as they used to be. If I use the middle holes then I gain accuracy but lose the snappy collective response like I have on my 480XX. I'll leave my 690SX as is. It's so floaty it doesn't need the outer most holes to make collective snappy.

That was a different issue, it affected the old swash (the flimsy one used in 600V1 and below). Those had a batch where the bearing wasn't properly retained. These swashplates had a chance of coming apart completely and were the ones that have been replaced, not the 690 ones.

On the original 600SX V1 swash, I took the delrin bearing out, cleaned it and the inner c-bore of the swash. Then coated each surface with a thin layer of green lockite bearing retaining compound and reassembled. Has been solid ever since

My 480XX probably has 500+ flights on it with original swash plate. No issues. Admittedly it has been under a lot less stress than it would have been in a 600SX.
