Default Plug selection

Anyone change plug selection with weather changes? My recollection is a cooler plug would allow a leaner setting, and prevent pre-ignition. But, in warm weather, humid conditions, I expect to lean the needles a touch. Have an OS 8 in there now, and it seems this plug runs better when colder. Does that make sense?

Sure does make sense. If you notice that much of a degradation in performance during temperature swings, by all means, try another plug. I keep a stash of Enya 3, 4, and 5 on hand just in case.

That being said, I find that simply adjusting the tune can solve 95% of my weather related performance issues IF the correct plug was selected in the first place.

Might be coincidence that when I swapped my OS#8 for an Enya#4 in the YS 60sr, that it cleaned up and ran better. So many variables. Last night was the first time I've been out flying both nitro birds without touching needles. YS 91SRX Tareq was running awesome too.
