Hm, maybe Shawn up in Canada has anything to add? That's just to bad.

Might be a tad off topic, but oh well... I am getting some new hex drivers from PB Swiss Tools to prepare for my 700 build. Are round ball ends considered to be any good? The design enables you to use the hex at an angle up to 30 degrees from the center axis. What I am concerned about is the grip.

Thanks,

I've found the rounded ones to not have alot of grip on the socket. Good for tight spots but not for tighteneing.

I use the century helicopters set of drivers for standard length , and for the long reach stuff i found some turnigy hobby king ones with the carbon handles.

On another note i didn't require any odd angled screwes in the logo 800 build , i'd assume the 700 is the same but shrunk a bit. I'll know better once mine arrives

I use 4 mm hex ball driver. The only complaint I have is they don't sit in the socket head as the straight one does. Extra care is needed when working on the feather shaft with two hex driver at both ends.

None of the bolts need to work at an angle.

Okay, going with the standard hex drivers then.

While I'm at it... Could any of you 700 owners be so kind to check some dimensions on the 700 for me? I am thinking about getting this carrying bag for my 700, but since I am currently stuck in an air force base, I am not able to verify that the bag will fit. The measurements are: 1500 mm (length) x 320 mm (width) x 490 mm (height).

Much appreciated,

I was reading another thread talking about size/weight.

Mikado labels it as a 700 to keep with there traditional theme of labels, in todays standards it's more like a 750 so i'm going to vote no on the 700 sized bag.

Of course i could be wrong

On the ReadyHeli page, it says 139 cm in length. Is that the span from the front of the canopy to the rear of the tail? In that case, it will fit length wise. On height I am not sure, but I do remember reading something about it being 40 cm high. If that is correct, it will fit there too.

Could anyone verify this please?

On the bag issue, I agree you may want to find one that can hold a 750 since the XXTreme 700 can swing 753mm blades. I have both the Heli Guard and the Align 700 and neither will hold the XXtreme.

The Heli Guard comes really close, which is what I'm using to carry it now, but the tips of the tail fin stick out. I just zip up from the front all the way to the back leaving the fin exposed.

The Align bag carries my Logo 600SE just fine.

So I checked the dimensions of The Heli Guard 700. The dimensions are 138 mm (length) x 210 mm (width) x 440 mm (height) compared to the measurements of the Fast Lad one - 1500 mm (length) x 320 mm (width) x 490 mm (height).

Luis, do you still think it wont fit with the additional 22 cm added in length, 11 cm in width and 5 cm in height?

Thanks,

I may be headed out to the field to fly in a few hours. I'll take a picture and a measurement on how far the fins are exposed...

Sounds great! How is the space for the 700 Xx as far as width and height goes?

Width and height are fine as long as you don't use the Mikado foam blade holder. I use the Align ones to drop the blades down an angle where it fits nicely....

Does the 700 fit in the Revolectrix bag? Tight?

According to the measurements it should. I hear people are fitting TDRs in too. The TDR is actually 3 cm longer than the 700. Should be plenty of room to spare.

Please report back. I have a bag that fits TDR but too short for Logo700. Logo 700 is longer than TDR.
