It's plastic; on the thin side, to be honest....

EMBLA flies much better than Align's.

Hirobo is incomparably higher quality than Align. Don't worry about the plastic or synthetic mechanical parts on Hirobo - no upgrades are needed.
But be sure to carefully follow the assembly instructions to get it **perfect**. Good luck! Bob |

The Embla has quickly become my favorite 450. It flies awesome. Much more precise than either of my align 450s. The plastic canopy is fine. I've even been flying in the cold with no issues. After the first few flights, I added a little more color to the canopy to stand out better against all the snow. I liked it so much, I bought a second one for a backup.

Kevin, I like what you did on the bottom of the canopy. What did you use for that?

Thanks poring. It's acryllic automotive fluorescent. Solid Fl.Green on the bottom and Fl. Orange faded into transparent red on the top to match the existing decals. Then clear coated.
It shows up MUCH better against the snow now. KevinB |
