I prefer large and high quality video! If you're on dialup then you shouldn't be downloading such files anyway.

I am speechless to the packing and machine work. Definitely HQ. I don't want to miss anything.

very nice videos
I'm just wondering if there will be any issues with mounting the carb when the fan is mounted first? It looks as it will be very close to the fan while mounting it? Looking forward to the rest of your build

John, I wouldnt worry about runout on the fan but more of the starter shaft and pinion. To me when you are rotating the fan it looks like the top of the starter shaft has quite a bit of runout? Maybe it's just the video?
Bob

Yeah, the free range rodent made me almost spit out my tea! As soon as I saw that, I thought of Capi (HFG) and my puter almost got sprayed! That was priceless!

Only problems so far are the pinion very tight fit in the clutch bell and worried me a lot I was cross-threading it as it wouldn't screw down freely - using the starter shaft as a former helps. Also there was a packing error in my kit with two canopy standoffs being mistakenly included in pack 5-2 on page 11 - lucky I had some QuickUK T700 canopy mounts which were just the right size (with an M3 0.75mm washer) to make up the 22mm required. Kasama is aware of this and rectifying it as we speak !

Norah's been a great building companion over the last 2 years but I have to say that this is likely to be her last build video series as she has to undergo surgery next week and I don't think her prognosis good

For the pinion being tight... Next time you have it apart, take a look at the "crest" of the threads on the pinion. If the major Dia. is a bit large, you can simply file down the O.D. a little bit. Carefully mind you, but you can. Threads run on a Pitch Diameter, and that is what is important. Unless you have a Go-NoGo Gage for the internal thread, you cannot measure this. But for the external thread, simply measure the O.D. of it. But rule of thumb, external threads should be machined approx. .002" under nominal. They are measured then using Thread Pin Gages "Over Wire Method" and Micrometers. Remember, it's the Pitch Diameter that is important here. Not so much the O.D. If the "root" of the internal thread is a bit large per say (from a big tool nose radius) then the "crest" of the external will interfere. So a simple filing might help you out there. Which brings me to my next point... Threads run or ride on the Pitch Diameter. So if the shaft has a run-out, the ONLY way to fix this is to "bend" the shaft. I'm sure the shaft was machined and ground between center's, so the run-out should be next to none. Hope this helps! Rick.

Well if it is truly here last build then the Kasama looks like a helluva build to go out on. Hope it isn't the last one though and things go well with the surgery.

Got two more vids today but not sure if they'll be available for upload
Got to go to UK for a week for my mum's 80th birthday and had to leave these blind uploading - Cute FTP not the world's most reliable - Anyway don't try and download them before 1200 UTC (that's 0700 East Coast) earliest as they're slow to upload ! If they don't work 'fraid you're gonna have to wait till I get back
