Nope not succesful here.
Also received a confirmation from paypal that at this moment it is not possible to send Hungarian paypal users money. Also that there is no date set when this becomes possible.

I have the same problem!

I think the only (and quickest!) way to send money to Kovi is via WesternUnion, Moneytransfer or similar services.

I will use an international money transfer from my bank to his(this is the cheapest option in the euro zone) as soon as I get the bankdetails from István.
I guess he is too busy in producing the tuning parts as he has not replied yet

Greetz,

Marc

Kovi,
Could you outline what your 5S results are and most optimal setup,
1. Pinion Size
2. Motor
3. Flight Times with 5S
4. Is the 5S combo. far greater performance then the 4S setup - I am using Hyperion - 10 motor and Litstorm 5S batteries,

Also, what parts you have developed for the Lepton, availability and where I can buy,
Thank you for the updates and look forward to receiving your info. I have been trying to figure out if 5S is the way to go and your data would be helpful.
Thank you,
JH

Hi All,

I have sent PM to everybody who has ordered any parts.
Westernunion and the banktrasfer is also good for me.

Buster1,

I use the Hacker A30-10XL motor on 19T pinion. The ESC is Kontronik JAZZ 55-10-32 high end speed controller.
The BEC is a Kontronik BEC30 Plus.
The battery is 5S1P Polyquest 3700XP ( 20/30C ).
At basic flying You can get 14-15min at 2000-2400rpm. For hard 3D You will need 2600-2700rpm. At this head speed You can fly 9-11min hardcore 3D. But of course it depends on your flight style...
Usually I fly 12min soft 3D at 2400 and 2600.

On 5cell You can get much better performance with less current ( lower battery temp and battery stress... ). You also can use cheaper battery ( with lower "C". 20C->15C ).
Jan uses a 10S5P 4200mAh battery in his Helnseleit ThreeDee MP/E. This pack contains 50pieces 830mAh/12C cell...

The flight time is also longer. A good example when You compare the Trex600 on 6Cell and the Logo 14Carbon on 8Cell. Both of them has same weight and performance. But the Logo flies 10 min 3D and the Trex 600 just 4-5 min! Alan Szabo uses a battery preheater for get 50 Celsius initial battery temperature. Without it the battery could be damaged at the begining of the flight...
On the Logo you can hold the battery in your hand after the flight.
The phenomenon is same at Trex450 also. When I moved to 4cell I got 11 min extreme flight at 2800 versus previous 7min at 2600 on 3cell.

The downside of the high cell count is the difficulty. You have to find the right setup for your heli. Sometimes you are before the vendors like in this case with the Lepton. You can buy a good setup but without a complete solution. So I had to make some pinions for the guys who wanted move to 5cell...

I have found the following:

When I stop a really fast ( full stick at 130% ATV on my 9ZHP WCII ) pirouette the belt slide over the pulley. I can hear it!!!

I think it will damage the belt and the pulley also.
I am thinking on a new belt/pulley set with higher 5:1 tail ratio.
Probably I will use MXL belt and not the S2 type. Hirobo used it with succes on the Shuttle RG. This type was used in the Trex and many other micro helis also.
Now I have a 60T and 12T pulley so I can test a 5:1 ratio ( I used them in my custom designed 450 sized machine )
In the final version a 70/14T would be better...
Of course in this case the original tail blades could works well also. But it should be tested at first.

So Istvan,

What on earth do you do for a living ?

I mean how can you find so much time in tuning your machine and then simply "machine" new parts?

I'm green with envy

Greetz,

Marc

Jeez,

The washout assembly really is a snug fit. You can not imagine how much better this part is over the Hirobo original. Hirobo eat your heart out
Did any of you guys verify the play in your paddles?... well its gone

I can really suggest this part for every lepton owner.

Yep... I SEE the play and it is much worse after 100 some flights!
No bushing so it's a complete replacement which is why I liked Kovi's washout block!

Alivin,

I think You should have them on the beginning of the next week.

I have some flights on this weekend, and made some modifications on the tail. I wanted to eliminate the belt sliding problem without any serious replacement.
At first I found when I increased slightly the delay on the GY401 the phenomenon was sometimes better but not always. The too big delay caused a low frequency hunting. But the optimal value stopped the hard high frequency hunting at the piro stop.
I thought there should be any other problem also...
And really was there anything! The tail push rod! It could be bented by the tail and tail servo during the flights. It worked like a rubber in the tail system at hard loadings. So the 401 had no chance to stop precisely the tail ( always over turning and turn back ... ).
Secondly something always made a strange noise ( chattered ) at hard cyclic maneuvers. This was also the push rod.

So I had to make a new tail push rod...
The result is perfect : no chattering, precise stop with much smaller overturn( no hunting ). The delay is now 25% with 100% ATV. The sliding problem is also solved with this rod/delay and with little bigger belt tension.

The tail push rod was made of a 4mm outer diameter carbon tube with machined aluminum ends.

PS: I have new flight time record: 15min 50sec ! At 2400rpm I made some inverted hovering a pirouetting and cruising with a little soft 3D.

Very nice Kövi. I changed my puch rod right when I got it. I used a 3mm cf tube and epoxied the ball links . It is night and day better than that little wire that was supplied for the push rod. I also changed the stock tail boom supports and upgraded them with the upgrade for the Raptor 30 boom supports and that also is night and day better. I am able to increase my gain more than with the cheap stock aluminum boom supports.
I can't wait to get the new main gear and washout slider. I also just finally got my Kontronik Kora 15-10 and a Schulze Future 18.46 esc. I can't wait to see what this
combo can do.

Thanks again Kövi for pioneering the aftermarket parts that were badly needed. I will say this again Kövi you rock!!!!!!!!!!!!
