Default Replacement Bearings

Just wondering where people get there bearings from? Do you order the Outrage branded packs or just find the best price. For example, is there anything wrong with theses Align bearings at 1/2 the price?

I bet there are other wholesalers that you can get bearings from at a good price as well.

Check these prices out first. I love these bearings.. the only ones I use... they are much smoother than most stock bearings I've used for any heli.

ABEC-3 rated bearings from HD

I use the helidirect, outrage, and avid rc bearings. All the bearings at avid rc are $1 for the metal and $5 for ceramic/metal bearings

Yes great bearings in limited sizes. Boca bearing yellow lighting are great also and easily removable seals so lube them at wish. Bearings as a whole on any heli are suceptable to over driving the tail rpm and such. My luck personaly with ceramic hybrids is about 50/50. I just dont think the ceramic balls are up to the task of side loads but I can not prove it so far. I was just at the flying fieldt today 12/3/2011 and had 3 people there with trex 550's. They watched my flights with blazen eyes and 2 commented how smooth the outrage 550 was and how I got it so vibe free. My answer was I built it according to the manual! Now that tells ya something,

As Sly said,

I use ABEC-3 bearings, mostly from Heli-Direct as they have a very good selection, RC-Bearing is also a great source and Boca as you can get them in a four pack.

I've had very good luck with the ones from HD, it's all about keeping them clean and oiled, if you fly in a dusty or dirt area you need to clean them and drop some triflow to keep them maintained.
