Default Recommend a decent lipo for my 550 size heli

Hello, I recently put together a 550X and I only have 1 battery pack at the moment. I want to get a couple more.

The one i have now is a glacier 45c 6s-5000mah, and I'd like to stick around that same size. BuddyRC is out of stock on these right now and I'm thinking about getting something else (maybe just 1) to hold me over until they return to stock.

Seems like a lot of vendors are out of packs of this size right now.

EC5's already on would be awesome.

Are the turnigy's horrible? any other quality brands to consider? I've been looking for pulse and gensace just based on what I've read here.

Most popular pack today (seems to be anyway) are the Pulse Ultras. Glacier is made by the same company I believe. Glacier are really good. Gens Ace too. But yeah.. even HD is out of these.. ETA 2-3 weeks.

Here found some! Lower heli is a good shop.

Dinogy is showing great results. LowerHeli has some of the best customer service in the hobby so I recommend buying from Lower

Turnigy's are just fine. I use them a lot when I was starting, a good battery. When you get to the point of harder flying you may want to go to a better battery. But give them a try.. I never liked the Nano Tech ones, had some bad packs on those.

I prefer the smaller and lighter 6S 4400-4500mah on the 550 size helis. I sold all of my 6S 5000mah packs in favor of the the smaller 6S 4400-4500mah packs.

Glacier's are my #1 choice. They are very good quality and come with EC5 connectors and balance plug protectors. The wrapping is clear, so allow me to visually inspect the individual cells for puffing. BuddyRC also inspect the larger packs prior to shipping, which minimizes the chances of receiving a DUD.

The Pulse Ultra's are my #2 choice. IR tends to be a bit higher than the Glacier's, but not significantly so. They do not come with EC5 connectors or balance plug protectors, but they are good quality. They are substantially more expensive than the Glacier's.

Thor LiPo's are the lowest IR packs I own. They also came with EC5 connectors. However, they are no available, since Ready Heli closed its doors.

I have tried Turnigy's and nano-tech's without issues, but I prefer the Glacier's. The Zippy's and the Revolectrix Diamond's have the highest IR's and worst performance, so I can't recommend those.
