Well, looks like I'll need to extend the family to include a fixed wing (alas, how can I say no when my better half says "I want to learn to fly"? )

So three questions -

• What's the right Internet hangout place like Helifreak, but for fixed wing pilots?
• What's the simulator that gives decent experience with at least planks *and* allows me to utilize the Jeti transmitter I have? (or, comes with a control box that doesn't fall apart in one's hands)
• I'll be looking for the airframe soon, do convertible VTOLs like FireFly6 make much sense, or hybrids combine not advantages of both worlds, but their drawbacks?

What other questions I should've asked, but didn't have enough knowledge to even think of asking?

Just pick up a parkzone sport cub and a dx6i and use it for a trainer! Great beginner plank.

Rcgroups is mostly electric flyers.. They have rooms for glow etc but not much traffic
