Default Question about Vbar setup on X5

Just finished building an X5.
I have not setup governor mode on the Vbar.
Does the Vbar recognise the throttle curves on my DX8?
It doesn't say anything about recognising transmitter throttle curves. Only the pitch curves.
How is the RPM limited through the vbar?

Thanks

You have to read more on this subject. My suggestion to you is that you should not worry about the governor until after you maiden. It's one more thing to worry about.

In the second screen where you set the limits of your servos, you should be able to see the throttle move from -100 to +100. Remember if your throttle hold is on, it won't move.

If you want the governor right away, you should read and watch videos. It's not something that can quickly be answered in a thread.

+1.

If not in gov mode, the vbar will just pass the throttle signal trough...

Hi,

Some things already answered, but heres my 2c.

If the governor is disabled in the vbar, you can use your trottle curves in your TX.
The trottle signal is sent to the esc directly (assuming you use sattelites with your vbar.)
The rpm is not controled or limited by the vbar in any way.

For the governor, you need an rpm signal from the esc to the vbar.
Did you install that?
If not, you need a certain sensor or cable depending on your esc.

Hope this helps
Good luck

Thanks for the replies.

I use a DX8 spectrum with 2 x DSMX satellites.
I've disabled the governor mode as my Trex flies fine without and it looks too complicated.

So based on your explanation, the throttle curves bypass vbar and go straight to the scorpion ESC

The vbar instructions say vbar recognises pitch curves and gyro gain etc but nothing about
Throttle curves, so what you say makes sense.
