Fuel magnet, header tank and backplate pressure. I hate fuel flow variations! MA fuel magnet is foam around aluminum center so its weighted also.

I have a MOAS hanging on my wall of parts. After seeing my buddies floating at the top of his tank I decided to leave it there.
I run a cintered brass filter type clunk. Similar to the OS bubble-less clunk.

That is the exact reason I also run the OS Bubble less clunk. It's heavy and always follows the fuel. My MOAS is so light even when soaked in fuel, it hangs like a limp prick! The alloy part could have been made from Stainless Steel to add some mass.

that is why I had to pull mine from the main tank. I don't know why they made them so light?

Remember the maos is supposed to be used with the special lynx fuel tube. Anything else and it will always float. Lynx tube and it will always sink.

The tubing I use inside tanks is the super thin green stuff that came with the Align T-Rex 700le kits. That's 3mm iirc and very thin walled.

As far as the moas don't you want it to follow the fuel, hence the floating?

This is what you want to use, and if you do, this is the result. The lynx will far far out live the omi magnet and it's cheaper to replace. Win win.

my problem is that on the X50 the fuel tank is very short so the clunk line is very short this makes in very hard for the MOAS to sink

im dealing with my TSA 700 tank being shaped weird, which causes me to have a short clunk line. clunk lines that are short dont seem to bend easy. im using the os bubbleless clunk to hep with keeping it at the bottom.

I run the OS bubble-less in my TSA and it works well. Have used them in other helis without issue as well. What I really like about them is that they are totally maintenance free... no foam or element that could perish over time.
