Main leads to short?
Hi every one, I purchased this helijive 120 from a friend, and a Hercules super mini bec was soldered to the main leads. I slid off the heat shrink and found this and it scares me a bit. I wanna just cut it off at the splice and just ec5 it. Now that I'm planning to futaba sbus my electronics I was told that the bec from the esc is sufficient enough to power my electronics.
My set up is Goblin 500 Bk servos hv Hc3sx Kontronik pyro 600-11 Don't wanna chance losing or frying electronics if removing it is a bad idea Thanks guys!

By the way if I do cut it off at the splice and ec5 it, I'll have around 3 inches of wire to work with. Is it safe? I'm worried about heat transfer to the joint on the inside of the esc.

HJ will allow a max of 6V only from the BEC. You'll not be able to run the BK Servos at HV. Just FYI.

Shame you sold off a HeliJive120. They have to be the best ESC out there IMO. Well until the new HJ with Kosmik firmware comes out. But that joint looked high potential for cold. I would have just de soldered it and wrapped it up.
