Up down up down left right start.... that should do it

Do u have the little manual that tells u how to program the esc, that will tell u how to do it

Dude that's all wrong! It goes like this up down up down left right left right ab an select start!

Yup looked it over last night. But I see your using a different Esc now so I take it the stock one wasn't that good?

i thought it was better with out the gov on the stock ESC, the gov was quite disappointing but some people see to like it. if running the gov you probably want a 16T pinion too

yeah i switched to YGE, it has a very good gov, but it also had a built in RPM sensor the the v bar gov which i am using now, a very strong BEC, active freewheeling so if i ever want to run a really low throttle curve i can and the esc wont get over heated, and stuff like that.

so there were a few reasons i went YGE, mainly for the gov and so i can get rid of the external bec. i was not expecting to get a v bar so i was planning on using the yge gov, and i did for a little while but it was eating up my flight time form some reason. i get killer flight time on the 7hv with the yge gov. i may have needed to turn down the gov gains, we tached it while i was doing tic tocs with very hard collecive and it did not loose any head speed at all with the yge gov. i think the gov was just so aggressive it was sucking down the juice. turning down the gains probably would have made it less aggressive and gave me some flight time back but i never got around to trying that, i got the v bar shortly after i got the yge. the v bar gov has better flight times and it does preform slightly better than the yge gov.

Ok maybe I'll give a shot and see how it feels. I'm using the 16t pinion so I might work out ok for me.

Is it necessary to use a phase sensor with the hobbywing to program the governor in the way is performed with vbar governor?

For Vbar gov you need a phase sensor, eigther hyperion or hobbywing sensor will work for the stock X5 ESC.

Sorry, but I don't understand you.

I am using the ESC stock for the X5 (hobbywing 100A) with the MBX fbl unit and I want to run the heli governed. So my doubt is if it is necessary to use a phase sensor or just to program the governor on the hobbywing ESC without any sensor.

Thanks in advance.

Regards.

You can run the internal gov of the HW ESC without a sensor. Stick programming, just follow the manual. Be prepared to do a bit of testing on the bench without blades. The HW gov is a bit tricky and not for everyone (read this thread)....

And beastX does not have a internal gov like the Vbar does... Two seperatu things.

I know that. I am going to try the HW gov to see how it works. With 15T pinion and the stock motor it should be at 73% thr curve in order to get 2500 rpm HS

Thanks a lot for all!!

ArchMageAu setup the HW gov and I think he gets about 2450rpm on the 15T pinion; maybe he'll chime in or you could PM him to ask him about the setup.
