Default Issues with the CG of the Fury60 Expert

I have a Fury60 Expert that I am getting ready.

It's straight forward just using S9252's and 9253 for the tail with a GY401 gyro.

The battery is a 1700SCR four cell.
The radio tray has been put all the way back against the frame.
Without a receiver the Fury will balance slightly forward of the CG.

This means that by the time I add the receiver and put in half a tank of fuel it will balance way in front of the mast.

That can't be right?

The model is built dead standard...any ideas?

How are you checking balance? I run my blades parallel with the tail boom and pick the machine up by the flybar close to the head. I have 2 Experts and have always run a fairly large battery pack with everything up front in the tray and the CG is usually spot ON. Personally I do not worry too much about the fuel. Is your canopy heavily painted?

Later,

Hi Alfred,

Is the muffler on yet, this will move the CG back a bit. At any rate just continue on as your going and fly it, it will be great!

I use the same method to check for the CG as you do.
Yes, it's a professionaly painted canopy, so there is not a lot I can do there.
All I can think of is maybe adding that brace that goes between the tailboom braces.
In that way I am adding some weight to the back and it will do something useful.

The muffler is mounted and it's a MP2.
The heli is finished except or the receiver that is away for tuning and certification.
