Thank you Leck. I like the simple yellow and orange for visibility. The t-rex ones were delivered today so I just wanted to show them off.

Looking forward to seeing your fleet photo.

Andy,
I am going to try and paint my own canopy for my Trex 700E I bought just the plain white one, Going to make the bottom black, the top white, with GoPro on the sides, cut out the nose and put my gopro in the front, I have never used clearcoat spray before so well I will see.

Can't say about the cost, but I know it would turn out better than my spray job! That being said, they just have to look pretty until the first time I take off from asphalt, I always scratch them up that way. If you look inside the plastic skid hole, where the tube slides in, there is a ring of raised plastic a few mm's inside. I took some sandpaper and wrapped it around an appropriately sized drill bit to sand that ring down flush with the rest of the hole (my coat of white spray paint was thicker than the black paint Align uses).

RG, are you in Jax?

Yes, south end - Saint Johns county. Its funny, I like the white because of my old Logo landing gear. Looks like you have the same taste there too. The Mikado skids are yellowish when compared to the Aligns, I hated that.

That sounds like a plan. For electric the clearcoat may not have to be the automobile type, the 2 pack stuff which is very toxic.

In order to be chemical resistant this type of clear has been developed.

So as you can see it is the clear with a hardener. It is expensive and once mixed you have to use it or lose it! I think some companies have designed a can that has keeps the two apart until you bang the can and then the hardener gets released.

Yup, I noticed that as well, and it does bother me!

Default Here's my build

Here's a few shots from my build (and after-crash rebuild) plus a shot of my growing fleet.

Picture 7 & 8 show my bird with Edge blades (Align's were destroyed when I crashed the heli).

Chep it looks like you have used the outer hole on the elevator servo horn but the inner hole on the aileron servo horn.

Andy, during the build I used the outer holes but had problems getting the MB set correctly. Then I switched to the inner holes and things checked out fine.

Cheers.
