Nice! It's definitely not lacking power, for sure.

Default Jeti Mezon 130A RPM

Just about to order one from fastlad.

Anyone tried the Jeti Mezon 130A RPM esc in a big bird like this?
Nice spec on it, high 300A peak current, cant say i have logged any of my big ones with moore than 130A cont.

So on paper it should cover the need for power but real life can be something else.
Got a new one very cheap and is curious if it can handle such a big machine.

Have Kontronik Heli Jive 120+ pro on a trex 700L i bought as a kit, good cooling with a fan(used a dremel to make air holes in canopy) and must say i'm impressed with this little beast

I've been flying the Mezon 135 opto on my Protos Max V2. I did add a 24vdc fan to keep it cool. The Mezon has held up just fine. I use the flybarless governor and on 12s. I'd have to check but I know I'm well over 150 flights so far.

To my amazement I've seen a decrease in average peak current once I stretched to a 770 config and dropped the pinion. I run Zeal 750's and Spin 785's.

Flight style and setup have a lot to do with what the esc can handle. I'm certainly more smooth sport, 3d, than a smack pilot.

If you're still shopping around, then I'd recommend looking at the HW160. At least then you'll future proof yourself in the event you wish to fly 14s.
