Default Need a fellow 500 pilot to give some advice and thoughts

Hi Guys

Just wondering if some one could just give me a bit of advice
i flew my 500ESP yesterday half way through my first pack and i started to get some funny vibrations so i landed look her home to have a bit of inspection and theres a couple of things my tail blade grips there is a tiny bit of play so i can wobble them from Left to Right is this normal ? all screws are tight as i took it all apart and cleaned the thrust bearings (which the thrust washers dont sit dead tight into the grips) is this the norm ?
Today i flew her again with no worrys every thing seemed sweet again i did mess about with my gyro gain as im getting used to my new DX8 so i thought the shaking might of been caused from to much gyro gain anyways lastly when i come to land today and on spool down there was some clicking coming from the main gear area its not the teeth there fine but i can now turn the main blades in both directions with a bit of pushing so what would you say one way bearing gone ? Is this a normal thing to go and am i right by saying you should never be able to turn the ONE WAY bearing both directions even with force but not excessive force

I would say the one way has went away. I have never had that much play in my old 500 or any other tail. All of the the thrust bearings (the races) I have installed fit tight to the point of having to push them down into the grip. If yours falls in I would say thats an issue.

Thanks.
Yeh i think ill just change the one way for the sake of at as it'll be a lot cheaper then having the heli fall out of the sky and same again for the thrusts in the tail as they do just fall in you can actually see there is play between the grips and thrust washers

The tick sound may actually be the front Torque Tube drive gears

Could be. Either way a close inspection is needed to make sure ALL issues are taken care of. Dont think because you replaced something, that was the only thing wrong. You knwo the rule: better safe than sorry!

The gears, they are so easy to break, you may just have a tooth missing or a couple loose
