Default delay rescue

Is there a way in the setup to delay the pitch coming in after you enable rescue captain rescue. I am thinking maybe one second or two at the most.

I was just thinking about this. I think the only way is to use a 3 position momentary switch. If you had a Taranis you could program it.

I don't think you can separate captain rescue's self-level and collective pitch outputs since they are on the same channel. What I do with my dx18 tx is change the the CR channel (gear = 5) speed to 0,5sec. This softens the CR response quite a bit but still gives a very solid rescue.

Cheers,
TomC

I am strugging to understand why you would want this, but to each their own. (If I call for rescue I wanted it probably 0.5s BEFORE I pressed the button so give me all the collective you can and do it now).

What TX are you using? Starting with aggressive self level and then engaging rescue may be what you want. Programming this is TX dependent.

Here is my reason. While inverted my buddy hit rescue. Before the heli rolled to upright the positive pitch was applied while the heli was still inverted. It was only for a split moment but it caused the heli to drop even lower before it rolled upright. So I was thinking if you could put a half second delay before it applied positive pitch it would have rolled over upright by that time.

Maybe check your +/- collective pitch range is the same (eg +/- 12 deg) and that it is zero degrees at mid-stick. In your case it sounds like you may have less negative pitch range than positive and/or your mid-stick pitch value is greater than zero. Worth double checking these imho.

Cheers,
TomC

Also sounds like using goes to pos self level and rescue. In this case a delay between self level and rescue would help.

I use Acro which will level to the nearest upright or inverted orientation. I do not want delay.

Which TX are you using? I'll see if I can help with TX programming.

you should switch from "upright self level" to "Acro". Just be aware, the heli may rescue inverted if the 3SX judges that will be faster. It is better for SL too if you are going inverted as SL will not allow you to be inverted if "upright self level" is set. In other words you can use SL while inverted if you set the mode to Acro.
