Default Compare to a T Rex 600

How does the Frenzy conpair in quality and performance to say the T Rex 600? I am flying a T Rex 450 and am thinking about getting a Nitro Heli for my next Heli. What are your thoughts on this Heli?
Thanks

Bill

I own both and hands down the Trex is a way better built heli. But for the money the Frenzy is a nice machine. It just flys great. There are a few things to fix as you put it together, but other then that it's a good heli for the money.

Change out the main gear for a raptor 50 main gear. Change the clutch and clutch bell from a raptor 50 also. The original main gear is junk plastic and will strip, the clutch is weak and will spring out making the rotor want to spin while in idle, the clutch liner is some kind of rubber material and does not last long.
That's about it I think.. There were other issues in the past, but they have been addressed.
I just built a new one last week and it went together great, and flies super. Like I said before, for the money it's a nice maching. BTW: I have the tail belt model. I hear the torque tube is really nice. One other thing I would recomend is the gyro placement. In the plans, they want you to put it on the radio tray in the front of the heli. I have found it's too far away from the center of the heli and the tail blows out doing some of the simplest manuvers. I put mine on top of the aleron servo like the trex 600 getting it closer to the center of the heli and the tail holds rock solid now.

Where are people getting the TT version? On Amain I only see belt drive.

What about the swash? is it metal? I remember something about people saying to change it out for the upgrade. Then I think I heard the new kits included the new metal swash. Is that true?

I think that people are getting the TT one from hobby king. If you do get the tail belt, you can't convert it later to the TT, it's a different frame.http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=14919
The stock swash is metal on top and the main lower body is plastic. This is my second frenzy and I have never had any problems with the stock swash.
