No, the stock CFX pinion is 11 tooth so it should push top head speed up to at least 4100rpm ungoverned. And on the CFX thread this has been confirmed, so you could comfortably govern this to 3600 Rpm, which in my opinion is where the 300X is at it's happiest. Do not do this on a stock frame without Bracing( for anyone else who may be reading this thread). Definitely no wood blades either.

WOW really 4100.... 3600 I am sure would make things faster we tach my fathers yesterday and on 100% only 3300 HS used a tach to tach it.

4100 with no load. Any load it drops. You can set up governor at 3600 but it won't hold 3600 under heavy load. Governor may work like magic to maintain constant HS but it won't work miracle if the motor doesn't have enough power to do the job. With stock motor and 11T my guess is top sustainable governed HS is probably around 3300 or lower.

Re: Good 300X set up for mild 3D
10 tooth on the stock motor is actually pretty decent, especially with the right blades.

I liked the MH carbon blades for the CP pro the best out of all that I tried, but that was before the "X2 spec" blades or whatever
