Default Main gear mesh with second reduction gear to tight

I have been having problems with vibes in my heli and the only thing i can find is that the main gear mesh with the second reduction gear is super tight. Since it has no adjustment i am not sure how i can fix it. Please help. thanks

Did you solve this?
I had a grinding noise once I put the tail boom on; so I removed the 0.5 washer between the main gear and the spiral gear (tail)
Have not flown it yet.

EDIT: Never mind, my bad - can't do this as the spiral gear is locked by the jesus bolt. I refitted the boom and it seems OK meshed but not very smooth running maybe it'l run in

I think I had the same problem. The spiral gear (tail drive gear on the main shaft) was not true, so there was a decent grinding noise. I replaced the .5mm washer between the bottom of the main gear and the lower bearing block with a .2mm and the grinding went away. Essentially lowering the entire main gear assembly so that the front TT mesh is not as tight against it.

Excellent- I had 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.2 shims sitting there- took out one 0.5 and it's smooth now.
It somewhat compromises the pinion and main gear alignment but should not be critical on slanted gears. Thanks
