Oh and it depends on your servos. I have the power hungry Greggor ProTeks.

Agreed. At 3.85v, you also still have a good deal of surplus capacity, though you may prefer to fly with a more full pack for maximum servo performance.

I was keeping an eye on the eu importer's website to see when the top came in stock but it's no longer on the website... Before it did indeed say week 36.

The cc 160 edge fits in the side of the latch-type receiver mount? H70086? Thanks

I got the 160 to fit completely flat inside there. It took some dremel work, but it looks factory and I'm very pleased with it.

Looks neat,

We can't quite tell from the photo as the black ESC cable covers the end of the capacitor but you want to make sure the cap is not touching the frame in any way. If it is, the cap will eventually break off the circuit board through vibrations then anything could happen

I double checked, it's close, but they're not touching anything. Thanks for the tip on the caps.

Is there decent parts availability for the chronos? As in lots of vendors keeping parts in stock?

I don't know about the compass chronos. I've heard good things about compass machines. For me I got the top because of the awesome electronics included for the price, the part availability and reasonable part price, and the align gear video where they use the tail as a table saw. Sweet video.

forget parts. what about Chronos kits? Not listed on the Compass main site. Mentioned as demonstrated at IRCHA. I don't think it is even released yet.

As for USA vendors, looks like Amain sells Compass but none of the current 7HV version are in stock.

Looks like the Trex Dom Top would be a simple choice.

yet nothing is simple is this hobby. Plenty of guys will wait for something about to come out. Some guys just don't want Align because everyone has one. I kind of feel that way about Goblin. I was going to get the TT E700V2 but it wasn't quite out yet and I wanted an electric 700 fully built , tested, and tuned before HFFF. I knew the Top was about to come out but I bought the 700L at the end of August and its been great. At my level, I don't need the extra power of the Top.

Isn't it nice to have choices?
Choose the L for the power you need or choose the Top for the power you want
