I'm hoping for a 600 that can be stretched to use 690 blades. Or a very light 700 size that will come with a shortened kit to make it a 600.

I don't think a shortening kit is necessary. Just a tail pulley and shorter main blades will do the trick.

If MSH throws a YGE ESC, a HV BEC and a scorpion motor, it would be a great start for this heli.

I'm a big fan of proportion. That's one of the main reasons, I've never stretched my Protos. I hate long tail booms.

On the contrary, I prefer long booms. For me, the protos looks great with the long boom and the lower head block.

When watching certain manoevres (like the chaos), a long tailboom is more spectacular than a shorter one.

I forgot to add that Synergy took the approach of making a 700 size heli and providing a shorter tail boom, belt, control rod, boom supports, etc in the same kit to fly the heli as a 600. Matt Botos said something interesting about this topic on RC Today Show #007 (http://rctodayshow.com/2011/09/rc-to...-src-coverage/). It had to do with the polar moment of inertia.

Start listening at 45 minutes in.

I ... think ... the 700 option with shrink kit would be ... well ... nice, no ?
But maybe I'm just kidding and don't know anything about it ... on the other hand, maybe I know everything and already got a picture of it

Who knows ...

Thomas.

Thomas,

Thanks for the insight, we are all excited for a 600 or 700 size Protos.

So is there any chance we get an announcement/info or some photos from MSH at the Toy Fair in 3 weeks on the new Protos? They usually attend that fair.

Christ, I hate this secret squirrel BS, either tell us what it is or stop with the stupid conjecture.
It's not funny, it's not teasing, it's just annoying.

... some quite old infos, directly from Corrado, from italian forum.

"Probably, starting from May, Protos and MiniProtos will be sold "exclusively" FBL and, oviously, there will be a combo with "Brain" the MSH FBL System "

"The Maxi-Protos I think will be presented at Nuremberg but it will be marketed very + forward, towards year-end would say, soon begin to appear the first videos ...."

The maxi protos:
Blades: 700 mm;
Lipo: 12S;
Mono-belt trasmission;
Stock, MSH rebranded, Scorpion motor + YGE.

Appears so. Swinging a 700 size blade on a single belt. Very impressive!

We are currently flying/testing the Protos 700, it runs on a single belt design like all our other helis. So far transmission system didn't show any particular issue.

Hopefully we will have some videos up in a month or so.

Still trying to understand what went wrong with the "scale" option in the design program.......
