Default ESC hold down o-ring

How many have used the semi-elasitc o-ring to secure the ESC? Mine seems kinda tight and I'm afraid of breaking the circuit board or crushing some components. I realize hook and loop is an option, but things are kinda tight and the ESC might get hung up before going all the way in.

There are 2 in the bag. I looped the 2 together like a slip knot I guess they call it for my ice lite 50. A single was way to tight and short to even try to get on. The slip not rests right in the center of the esc. Works for me LOL!

I'll have to try that too. Fighting with ESC to motor wires right now, afraid ill bend the ESC motor wires to much and break the insulation... Not much room under the battery tray. I'm finding wiring to be one of the more challenging parts of this build ha!

I just tried fitting the two rings and it's waaay to loose. ESC just slides out the front.

well time to go to ace hardware and purchase some o-rings LOL!. What esc ? This works great with cc lite 50. I also have my motor wires facing rear with caps in front and motor wires looped down around the bottom of esc and exiting the front. You must solder on bullets after doing this or install esc with bullets on before you add second frame side.
Ice lite 50 was made for this heli it fits so nice!

I found removing the bottom plastic tray/skids made it a lot easier to get wires where you wanted them. I too found two orings too loose, so used 4010 tape and will go shopping for the appropriate rings this weekend. This is using the stock YGE

Default One O Ring.

What I did, was to grab that O ring with a pair of needle nose pliers and yank it through and hook it over. Not easy but it did it. One O ring is too loose if you have the wires folded very neatly and just right if you make a big mess. I was thinking some velcro dots, neat wires, and one O ring.

I'm actully using 2 zip ties, they run pretty flat across the battery try & are hidden under velcro. It's actually working very well.

At first I thought everytime I took off battery the velcro would start to come up but I got the zip ties as flat as I could coming over the battery tray and its working pretty well for me

Geez, the single o-ring works perfectly. Just use a draw wire to pull it through.

Yup, ended up just using some 4011 tape and one Oring, working just fine.

I finally ended up using some hook and loop with the o-ring as insurance. Turns out if you use the o-ring alone, the ESC will slide out the front of the bird. Kind of a strange setup to me.

I just stretch the crap outta that sucker and hook the single band on there. My YGE60 will still slide in and out fairly easily, but not so easy that it falls out. I dont think its squeezing the esc too tight at all. Maybe a thicker esc would though.

I pull the rubber band thru the frame with bent zip-tie. Don't want to use metal tools to possibly nic the rubber band.
