I would also try the Spartan Vortex line of gyros they flat plain work and setup is a breeze through the DataPod. Just throwing another option out there for you.

Option 2

Try MKS brushless servos (665, 950, etc) and keep the IKON. I run thus combo on my E5 and N7 and they purr like a kitten. No issues

Thanks.

So I put a Vortex Vx1n on there, and BAM! All is fixed! No more tail issues, no more shaking, wobbling.

So far I've run 4 gallons through my N7, and today was the first time I've really enjoyed flying it. I was running the Vortex on stock settings, except I had to go up on the tail gain, and reduce the CCW tail stop gain to make stops in both directions match/perfect. The datapod is awesome. Really helped me dial in the gains with a knob on my radio.

I'm pleased to read about your success. I can't even imagine doing R&D work on the Vortex without the DataPod; the Remote Adjust has saved me tons of time. I noticed you have a Jeti radio. Have you seen what's coming soon? https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=729551

Yep, I've seen that thread. I'll most likely go ahead and change my fleet over to Vortex, considering my success with the VX1n.

Hi Jimmy,
Just wanted to let you know we found an issue with the bk7001/bk7002 zero dead band with brain/ikon. We think this is the source of your problem. This issue is fixed and a patch will be released next week. We have now heavily tested the change and they work great now.
