Default Why so Quite

Now that I've put about four gallons thru my Raptor G4 I'm completely sold. The quality and flight characteristics of this heli are excellent. Why isn't anybody talking about this helicopter? Has this model just been stifled due to price or because there are so many really good choices in the 700 size nitro arena?

I'm tempted to get one, but it's a bit spendy at the moment compared to something like the 7HV which is my other current temptation.

Over here a G4 kit is currently £630 or $1020. That's with no blades, which are something like £90 a pair, so ~£720 or $1166.

The Compass 7HV is £499 with blades. That's $808, so the Raptor is ~$358 more.

Maybe after seeing one in person I will decide the G4 is worth the extra, but on a purely price comparison, the 7HV is winning at the moment.

I had a 7HV and the Raptor out flies it. It flies and autos better and you don't have to take the canopy off for battery changes. It's worth the difference. I think the machine is not more popular because they used the raptor name. They should have went with G4. The Raptor does not need any upgrades. The 7HV is known for a weak or .30 size tail for which I understand the is a new upgraded tail for it. - Kris

It didn't take me long to fly it into the ground. Actually it held up pretty well considering how it crashed. It was flying really well and the crash was completely my fault. I picked this heli up on sale for $800 for the kit and have no regrets with my purchase.
