Default DFC not all that.

Converted my 500 ESP from the original FBL head to the DCF head and swash. Why I did this is beyond me because my 500 was my second best flying heli only to to be upstaged by my 700E. After making the conversion I was plagued with vibrations twitchy fast forward flight control and a just plain ill mannered heli. After replacing dampeners bearings and going thru the head setup three times with no improvement I went back to the original FBL head where I was instantly rewarded with a perfect flying heli again. Sometimes its best to leave well enough alone.
Note: the DFC head setup on my 700N & 700E work great.

I have mine sitting on the bench. Using it as cheap insurance to keep gremlins away.

Not saying all kits are perfect but something isn't mechanically setup right or a defective partt. I know on like a AR7200BX if POT 2 is set too sensitive then it cause the controller to over shoot which causes imprecise forward flight. I'm sure VBAR has a similar setting somewhere...never owned a VBAR. It's new and gotta get to know the proper setup of the head and controller to work well. Most people that complain have improperly setup machines. You can't just take off one head and slap on the other. Overall on here how many complain of such an issue versus most rave about it being so much better? I'd say you need to get a better understanding of the DFC setup and it working with the VBAR properly as far as tweaks.

Here's a video of mine spooling up...

Don't get me wrong! I know my DFC will be great. I had crashed my 500pro and decided to put the DFC head on, but while waiting for the swash on back order I was able to get the stock head back together and didn't see a reason to change until it takes it's next dirt bath.

My vibes were not from hovering. They progressed during agressive flight. I can tame down the gain settings on the vbar and make it couch potatoe. Which I did and it was an big improvement, but I was bored to death with these setting. After removing the DFC head and reinstalling the original FBL head it was instantly back to and stable vib free heli that I could bang as hard as I wanted and it just keeps on ticking.

I upgraded my 500 to DFC head (as well as my 450) and now the new DFC swash as well with Spektrum 7200BX system and it flies great, no complaints at all, very easy to setup and blade tracking was spot on from first flight.

Its worse thing i ever did to my 450 .... had a small crash ... bent a few things in head (like you do) and decided to switch to DFC rather than fix

Wish i could go back to my old head / swash but i sold the OK parts on
