Futaba Super 7 problem
I am trying to setup my dad's Raptor 30 using a older Futaba Super 7. I have all the servos connected and the radio set in Heli 1 MODE and it works fine. I ran into a problem setting up the Gyro (Futaba GY401). I want to connect it to the landing GEAR (Channel 5) for mode switching and gain control. Unfortunately the Heli 1 Mode disables the radios landing gear channel and I can't control the Gyro with channel 5. I did notice that the Servo Mix 1 switch will control the gyro. Why is this? When I put the radio into Airplane mode, the gear switch works the Gyro just fine. The program Mix 1 has no program setup yet it still controls channel 5.
I guess I can leave it on the Program switch, but how do I control the gyro gain with it? This radio is a bit confusing compared to my JR8103, but with the futaba manual I am slowly coming along. Is there a nice faq on this radio somewhere I can reference to setting up a heli on a super 7? Thanks, Mike |

Is this Super 7 and airplane version. The designation on the front of the transmitter will be either 7 UAP Super or 7 UAF Super.
If it is an airplane version, the switch on the top left corner ( channel 5 gear) is the throttle hold switch. The switch on the top right corner ( Pmix) is the gyro gain switch. The switch next to the right knob will be the idle up switch ( mix). David |
