Can I use base loaded antenna for 5014 receiver? Have anyone try it?

Thanks,

I have not used one on a 5014 personally. But I have seen several pilots flying with a base loaded antenna on the 5014 rx. Did not seem to be a problem from what I was observing.

Putting the revolution antenna on a 5014 will only save you a couple of inches of length. I just use as is. if I need it stiff I cut as much as needed and replace with the same length music wire.

I know that many have used base loaded antennas on the 5014 with success, but the base loaded antennas are tunned to replace the much longer antenna of a standard RX.

I bought a used 5014 that had a Revolution whip installed, and it worked just fine. I recently sent it in to Hobby Services, and they took the liberty of replacing the original antenna.

Jeff,
I know a few of the Futaba Team pilots that actually put a 39 inch wire antenna on the 5014. They did this because they thought the 18 inch wire antenna was too short. They reported that thought the 39 inch was better. So installing a base loaded antenna is not a bad thing. The wire from the receiver is cut to the same length for all base loaded antennas. 4 to 6 inches. I always cut the antenna wire at 4 inches to install a base loaded antenna.
