I didn't know that so that is why some pro 3D flyers still use flybars, I though some just prefer the look I prefer flybarless because I like having less to break.

No, usually it's because they prefer the feel (less robotic/more connected) of the heli, most of the FBL controllers are adding settings so they can be tuned to feel more like a FB for those who like them.

Im hoping by christmas we will have a fbl unit that can do that.
the vibes kill the sensors in the units available right now.
The futaba one is already using the same sensors as the new v-bar is supposed to be using and can almost be hard mounted to pretty much anything (the gas guys seem to like it).

I'm not sure if it can do spektrum RXs yet though (it was suppose to be coming but...)

That's one of many reasons I should say,

The majority of guys I see at the feild still flybarred
always say they can't stand fbl units because there
always chasing down vibes, and have to lower there head speed.

I have to admit, I really like the standard X2 canopy....

That said, it's a really nice canopy you have there too! Gaui did a great job on these designs and it's the first heli I've had where I'm not in a rush to get an aftermarket or custom canopy done.

I wasn't in a hurry to get a new canopy either but then came the crash, and I think it is the same design as the X5 FB and I got it from King Cobra distribution

i wasnt that impressed with the blade quality, maybe thats why they changed them. mine came with a black finger print on the bottom of one blade, under the clear coat, and the laminating is rather rough on the other in certain areas, though they did balance pretty well.

How do you get the heli balance with the motor upfront?

it balances pretty much perfectly as it is, i bound all the wires up in the back to give it some counter weight there, im running a light hyperion battery right now, when i switch to a bit bigger battery i might need some counter weights.
