The material I used are two pieces of nylon blocks bolted to the side they were shaped to the curveture of the canopy that way the canopy just slides right over it and keeps it in place, What I found was the clips actually stressed the canopy by pushing it up and was very tight it was a real simple modd Gaui may want to get rid of the clip and do it that way. Hope that helps.

With that setup, you could have made those mounts functional and used the thumb screws.

I ordered a set of Quick UK Magnetic mounts for a 700 and am going to try them out. they look like they will work with little modifications.

Default Rc booya canopy mount

True true. I want to try and stay away from more mounting hardware to loose or forget. Will try the new mount out and see how it goes.

Default Rc booya canopy mount

The canopy mount is a success. No more clip. Just put on, attach the two pins and go.

I have been looking and looking, I tried a set of 700 magnetic mounts, and no dice. I has come down to HeliOption Quick Release mounts.

I ordered a set of 25.5mm mounts from a T-Rex 550e to go up front and a set of 12.5mm mounts from a T-Rex 700e for the rear. All measurements show it working. I will be sure to post pics as soon as it is done.

OK, How about Heli Option Quick Release Mounts.

T-Rex 700e 12.5mm mounts in the rear
T-Rex 550e 25.5mm mounts in the front.

You will need a maximum of an 8mm long set screw for the rear so the screw doesn't bottom out in the heli and cause the thumb mount to fail to engage. The front mount will go on setscrews that will replace the button heads that mount the top of the fan shroud. No frame modifications, only changing a couple screws and making new holes in the front. That was easy, just install the mounts completely assembled and put the canopy on and line up to mark your front holes.

They did NOT work, but I used some Heli Option quick release that worked nice.

The info for what worked is above in post #28. Very Nice!

Thank you Bryan,
If I only want to install the rear one, will it work ? Can you show me a closer picture of the rear one ? Do you have a link where I can get it ?

I just ordered a set of the HeliOption 12.5mm T-Rex 700 mounts off of ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=190841149131

Can't wait till they get here so i can ditch the canopy pins!

I can take a few pics tomorrow, and ebay is where I got mine. and Dodge..., NO, I have been so swamped, I barely have time to breathe, much less time to fly or even visit HF... I really wish things would slow down for a couple months, but it is good for business.
