broke my frame :-(
Crashed my CF 500 just wrong I guess. I looked for the replacement parts (CF frame sides, plastic bottom plate) and found these:
$18 http://www.msh-direct.com/products/c...-msh51091.html $104 http://www.msh-direct.com/products/p...-msh51090.html WTF? >$100? Do I have the right part? |

Have you looked at Fusuno? http://www.fusuno.com/index.php?cPath=52_691

My prices should go down when you register, working on fixing that
Still cannot compete with experience and HD when frames are in stock. Honestly cost me more than that to get them. As for the fusuno frames remember they are not conductive so you may need to run ground wires . |

OK, thanks everyone. Sticker shock, I guess.

Another option is the plastic frame, cheap, easy to put together, lighter than the CF, and still a very solid flyer.
I have seen quite a few run the plastic frame as a stretch setup without issues as well. |

Surprised it's lighter than the CF. Certainly inexpensive if a guy wants to fly hard often. I can't wait to build my kit. I am awaiting some parts I've ordered. My kit is MSH51109, so, it's not very recent, evidently. I have the stretch kit from the same "vintage" with SAB blades. I ordered the low FBL kit, the alum rollers, the stiffer 3K tail blades, and of the nicer items from Lynx. Just waiting for the Lynx orders to come in. I am not too hard on stuff, so expect things will hold up well. The Compass Warp also had some tricky adjustment of the motor steady bearing alignment, so I am pretty prepared for that.
But still, I like how MSH has made it simple to upgrade to current specs. I presume the main frames were not revised in the current model?

Thanks for the tip! BTW, I grew up in central IL, went to school in Peoria.

@MATT I know the Peoria area well only being a little over an hour away. Good stuff....
@ROB The plastic frame does not use as much hardware and is only two pieces for the entire main frame assembly. It is also molded in such a way that some wiring can be ran through the hollow sections of the frame Carbon reinforced plastic as well... I would not hesitate to try this frame out in a pinch. |

Good points. Thanks.
What is the reason that the stretch is carbon only?

The plastic frame is not made for the motor shaft Y support, but I have seen a few mod the frame as well as some that run without it that were not flying as hard.

Indeed. I think the plastic frame looks cooler, IMO. Much more refined appearance, and very inexpensive. I just happened up on a carbon kit, and stretch kit via a trade offer for a heli I was considering trading. Also, I have (3) new Nanotech 6S3000 25C and (2) Revoletrix 6S3000 70C packs to use. They were used in the model I traded as 12S pairs.
Is the reason the upper bearing support and carbon frames are needed due to the longer belt? I suspect the same belt tension on a longer belt imparts more bending stress to the motor shaft.
