Default Blank FG Canopy for Plastic 425?

I am buying a 425 from one of my flying buddies and I like to paint my heli's canopies. I have done some looking around and I would like a FG canopy that is blank. I would prefer not having to paint over the black wind screen.

Does anyone know of a FG canopy for the plastic frame 425 that is completely blank? Or if any other heli's canopies will fit it?

Thanks.

I have purchased a couple of blank FG Gaui canopies from helidirect but I do not know if they are still available...
I use a 550 FG canopy from Hobbypartz.com on my 550...
Fusono has painted ones and may have blanks stll for the Gaui as it has been a while since I bought one.

I ordered that scratched blank and some neon yellow Trex 500 tail fins (I bet I can make them fit.)

Time to get the air brush out!

If you want to be a real eye catcher, wrap some of the Monocote trim sheet* around the tail boom. A good bright color and it will pop in the air.

*It the stuff plane guys use for stripes and such. Comes in a 5" by 30" sheet, it is cut, peel and stick. Real cheep too.

Take heart, it is not the newest sexiest thing, it may take some time to sell. Spring may be better.

personally I like the Fusuno canopies, very good quality and they have a lot more space underneath for bigger lipos,
Fusuno also sells unpainted canopies: http://fusuno.com/index.php?cPath=627

A little putty, some high build primer, and some sanding the scratch and dent canopy is looking pretty good. If you know what to look for and look close, there are some imperfections, but I don't think they will really show once it is done.

I just hope the 550 canopy does not look too big on the 425. I don't think it will, it is not that much bigger. I won't have problem fitting the 2 2200mah 3 cells under this!

I run the Fusano canopy, plain wht. Logo400. Looks great and has a little more room as well as cooling vent on top of motor. And its only 15-18 bucks! Then use testors lacquer paint .
BTW this is my only fb heli, scorpion 1210, turnigy esc, fut 611 gyro,9256 rudder, stretched to 550.
