Default Futaba Antenna Placement Question

Hello guys I have a quick question. I am new to futaba......coming from spektrum. I mounted my R2008sb rx on the bottom of my 700. I have one antenna going out of the bottom right of the heli through a tube and the other antenna going down a skid on the other side in a tube. The "live" end is exposed of course but I am concerned about getting the "live" end, on the antenna located on the skids, wet by damp grass or the more recent snow. So my question is has anyone ever had any issues when the antennas contact water, damp grass, or snow?

OK as long as they are at 90 degree angles to each other and other. Also the exposed part of the antenna at the ends needs to be away from metal or CF parts.

2.4 GHz is not good in water but you will be at very close range when the antenna may contact wet grass so that should not be a problem. I have a 500 heli with antennas taped to left and right plastic skids and have not had any problems with 3-years flying.

If your worried about it getting wet you can always get some heat shrink and put it over the end of the antenna. Doesn't hurt anything.

I was just curious. I will re-mount the left side on top of the skid to keep it from touching the grass or anything.
