Default Scorpion HK-2208-24

I know there are a lot of threads and discussions about the Scorpion HK-2208-24 motor for the 300 x, but I want to be clear as my stock motor just bit the dust...
1. Is this a direct fit replacement.
2. Will the stock esc work with this motor?
3. Should/can I use the stock pinion?
4. What did I forget?

Thanks guys for your time and input, just want to make sure I get it right
Jeff

Yes, yes and a 13T pinion. HD/ https://www.helidirect.com/advanced_...M+13T&x=7&y=19 It will fit in a CFX too if the bottom plate is moved to the very bottom.

Got the new Scorpion installed, with the rhino 13 t pinion.
I was wondering have any of you adjusted your throttle curve, and if so what are you running?
Thanks for your help and time.
Jeff

Start at 80% - 90% flat throttle for IU1 and IU2 and keep the normal curve from the book it might need a bit of tweaking to your liking but it will get you started.
If you get the Lynx one way hub assembly you can squeeze even a bit more speed out of this motor if needed and you will have the impression you are flying a different bird as it will be so quiet together with the Scorpion motor compared to the stock setup.

Thanks for the info that helps, made some adjustments and I like, the new motor is a lot smoother than the stock
