is it possible that maybe the tail is spinning in the wrong direction? or maybe the tail blades are on wrong? it looks like the motor is being pulled apart due to the blades producing pull on the bell hounsing instead of push??

With the wk 2g tail motor it has a small brass bush deep in the mounting tube. This allows the stator and bell to be spaced well. A few crashes and this bush pops off (may still be in the tube) meaning that the bell (spinning part) actually makes contact with the stator metal on metal and causes issues as well as micro metal filings creating problems. Pull the blade off and the bell completely off and look at where they meet.
MrShultz on RCG used a washer from inside a brushed main motor to get rid of the metal on metal contact. You could also just remove the blade and spin up the tail motor and see how it runs without that interaction. Hobbycity has a replacement 2g identical to the wk but you'd be better off getting a jasonjetski tail case http://www.micro-heli-concepts.com/ (you want the new version not on the site...email him) and a 2.9g HPO3...rotorfever.com (US) or chinesejade in China. Far better than the wk motor. Amp |
