Default trex 550 pro with castle talon 90

.Hello all have my trex 550 pro setup and flying perfectly thanks to this site, It came with the talon 90 speed controller. If I drop the throttle stick in flight and the try to raise the motor back up there is a long hesitation, kind of like the soft start( broke a set of skids because of it). All I did when I set it it up is set the endpoints in my tx.

You have to enable Auto rotation mode. there are videos all about it, make sure its 100% correct before you try it... I am guessing you was flying around in normal mode. most flip to stunt mode 1 at least soon as they lift off, that way the motor will stay at a constant speed the whole flight and that can't happen.

Your esc seen 0 throttle again and went back to soft start. Either dont drop your stick all the way down or fly in IU. Auto bailout wont solve this. Auto bailout is for your hold switch and provides a buffer above 0 that stops the motor but uses a faster spoolup. This faster spoolup rate can be adjusted in the software.

Think about what the others have said, and then consider--why in the world would you want to drop to zero throttle on a hell in flight via the collective? Even if you don't want all the negative pitch that is normally used in IU, you do want a throttle that doesn't go to zero by accident when all you want to do is to back off the blade pitch.

You can put the pitch curve you want in IU, but put in a non-zero throttle curve. Also try to have it nominally match your normal throttle curve whenabove half stick. You don't want a big throttle change when you switch from normal to IU. The CC ESC does smooth out large throttle changes via its "Head speed change rate " parameter, but I don't know how you have set that up. Too fast and you can strip the main gear.

This is one of the reasons castle recommends having a flat 0 TC in normal and a flat, v curve, or governor setting for IU 1 and 2. If it ever sees 0 it will think it is starting from a dead stop on the ground and do a soft start. In any TC that you plan to fly in you do not want any 0 points. TH needs to be a few % above zero to trigger an auto bailout. You could also have throttle cut be used to start up with a zero setting and regular curves of gov settings for normal, IU 1 and 2.
