Default talon 35 end point adjustment

i'm trying to set the endpoints in a talon 35, I've setup many ice 50's without problem but I cant seem to get this one to recognize full throttle, i'm using a futaba radio(throttle is reversed) and doing exactly what they say in the help videos but ive maxed out my throttle channel and no beeps,
if I try to arm it normally(ie start in low throttle) it starts fine, and in my skookum software my throttle channel is showing 0 to 100, have I missed something?

Hi Anthony. You mention you run SK, and I've had a few issues over the years with them and Castle ESCs, but it's typically easy to overcome.

Try this and see of it helps:

1) Set your throttle channel ATV in your TX to 125-150% or whatever max it will give you rather than 100%

2) Connect up to the SK software and set the idle and high throttle end points using those new TX values with a linear throttle curve. This ensures that the SK is outputting max throttle signal.

3) Drop the throttle channel endpoints and try and calibrate the ESC as normal.

4) If successful, go back into the SK software and once again set the idle and high throttle endpoints so that SK software now shows proper 0-100 on the throttle output rather than the goofy ones it will show from the calibration procedure.

Its sounds like the Skookum just isn't outputting quite enough throttle signal to satisfy the Castle

Castle's - always an adventure.

I am trying to set up my Talon 35 on my beastx. I've set up many Castle's before - not one has ever been the same as the other. There's always some quirk. Been able to work through those, but this one i've exhausted all I know. Hoping someone can help.

Power wire pulled on the throttle lead. Using a Nicad pack to power the beast. Triple check Tx settings. 100/100 endpoints, linear TC, Subtrim disabled, normal mode. Castle software set to Helicopter mode and fixed endpoints. Also upgraded to latest firmware.

-Tx on.
-Power on beastx with Nicad pack. Everything initializes fine.
-Go into Tx and set throttle endpoints to 30/30
-stick at high throttle, showing 30% on monitor screen. Throttle HOLD not engaged.
-Power on ESC with 11.1v pack

Here's where i'm stumped. The ESC counts off the three cells as it should. It should then wait to be programmed. Instead the ESC initializes the motor giving off its chimes. It then does the single beep every few seconds saying that its ready. Mind you the motor won't turn turn over either. Obviously i'm not in programming mode somehow.

Clueless on this at this point.

UPDATE:

- Just reset the model memory and rebound to make sure. No change.
-Tried to program endpoints using another receiver I have - An AR6115e DSMX park flyer receiver. And whataya know - I can enter programming mode with it.

So the problem is definitely with the Beastx. For some reason it won't let me enter programming mode.......................
