Default My wife is a better pilot.... I want a divorce!!

She acts so smug about it too!! I see it..IM TRYING but, like a duck to water she grabbed my 450 after about 3 hours on the sim and hovered for a minute and took off left down range to a text book right turn!! It was cool at first...now I'm pissed! She even telling me about set ups!!!!
I'm at the Marriott now... Alone ... With my sim! This ain't gonna happen on my watch!! Even my friends are rubbing it in!!

Don`t beat yourself up over it. Some people just have a knack for flying, and your wife seems to be one of those people. She ROCKS, BTW. I can`t even get my husband to look at a helicopter. He tried the simulator for about 20 minutes, and gave up because it was too hard to do. Just enjoy the hobby with her, progress at your own pace, and have fun. At least she`s taking an interest in flying.

The eletric version, right?

Hey good luck, i guess you have one more motivation for progression. Not many pilots can say the same

My thoughts exactly. BTW, does she have a sister who's single ?

ouch i guess. but not that i really sympathize. i always rub it in my boyfriend's face when i can fly warbirds in a sim better than he can. (even though he had a pilot's license at one point) it's not like you should feel bad or frustrated about it either. she just has good spatial cognitive ability out of the box. no matter how good she gets, it doesn't make you any less good at flying than you are.

dude, I couldn't make fun of that. WHY, because I envy you. I would just brush off your friends cause they are jealous of you. Having something in common like that with your wife in invaluable.

Do you seriously give a Bamn if she is better then you. If so then be a man, dedicate yourself, and get better with her.

My girlfriend flies heli because it's "my" hobby--and she's learning at a much faster pace than I did. She won't fly without me (not interested), and still she'll have better piloting skills within a year.

We were driving past a hobby store I frequent when alone, and out of nowhere she wanted to stop in, so I turned the truck around. After some browsing she thought she might really like FPV. I later bought her two micro quads (surprise!). She lets me borrow one, which is generous because she almost never plants it, but me...not so good.

We support each other. I'm not really a quad guy, but that's okay, we have a lot of fun together, and I love that she's a great pilot. Hopefully we'll graduate to FPV, but in the mean time we love doing things together, and that's the point.

If you really need that "I'm on top feeling," take your trophy wife to the air field and watch other guys drool over your good fortune.

Definitely, it is a great feeling with someone you care about taking interest in this hobby.

Y'all need to work together and build each other up, not tear each other down. It's all about team work. I had my g/f almost solo'd on a Vapor from ParkZone. It basically took 2 sessions (batteries) and she was flying in a racetrack pattern with the guys at an indoor fly in.
