I like the full fuse look and I'm glad I don't have to buy a goblin to get it.

For me I think it looks clean and makes the tail more visable. I will take all the help I can get when it come to visibility, my eyes are getting old and never were very good to begin with.

The only down side I really see is crash costs, I have given up on running a canopy during normal practice flying on my beaters just to eliminate the costs of replacement when I crash.

I just wish Align would get with the program and not call a 380 a 470.

+1 But I really like the fact that they are ditching the fragile tail gears and flimsy tt.

With a proper belt. But it will depend on how many teeth it has on the back pulley and belt width, but I'm sure they done their homework

Looks like the old main gear to me. They need to beef the main gear up a bit IMO given the bigger motors that are now out.

Now that I see that it has a belt tail I really want one. It's going to be hard to chose, it looks like there are going to be a few new align helis coming out.

I wonder if the standard 360mm 450l will be able to be upgraded to the belt tail and stay at 360mm?

If there's a will...there's a way. I'm sure you could convert the 450 to belt and yes stay 360mm

Honestly, why converting it to belt? I've beaten the crap out of mine and NEVER had a stripped gear even with some "hard" landings. Also zero issues with TT vibrations.

Regards.

I only tore up my tt gears once and that was from just barely touching some tall grass. The biggest problem I had with the 450l was I kept torque twisting the torque tube which created nasty vibrations. It just wasn't strong enough but I never tried to add extra bearings like everyone else. I also didn't like the binding tail pitch lever but that could be smoothed out with some polishing etc.

I love the original 450 with a belt. Can you upgrade the 450L with the new belt design and longer boom and tail?

Hope it is not just the 450L with a longer boom. Can't get the CG perfect on the 450L I have now and it has the biggest battery I can get in there now, nore can I slide it any further forward because of the canpoy.
Would be nice to see Align come out with a 450L belt conversion, not that I have had any issues with the toque tube, it would just be a nice option.
