Default Global 3D - The Black Hole

The second new manoeuvre for GLOBAL 3D 2017

Create a rolling “tangent” spiral with rotating flips in the center.

- Starting in horizontal forward flight, from left or right.
- At the center line (before the judges) begin 4 forwards vertical
rolling loops getting smaller (Spiral in).
- At the center, start flipping on the spot (e.g. forward flips).
- Whilst flipping, rotate the axis 360 degrees with a minimum of 4
flips (e.g. left pirouette).
- Stop in a sideways hover at the center of the flight line.
- Start flipping in the reverse flip direction (e.g. backwards flips).
- Whilst flipping, rotate the axis 360 degrees in the opposite rotation
with a minimum of 4 flips (e.g. right pirouette).
- Stop in a sideways hover at the center of the flight line.
- Then begin 4 backwards (tail first) rolling loops getting bigger
(Spiral out) with opposite roll direction as the entry.

Combining flipping and rolling to the third degree is making this a very tough one.

i like the look of this one. they dont get any easier do they lol. been practicing my stationary, on the spot flipping turns for a while now, both front flips and back flips, with various degrees in between them and both directions. its great practice for orientations and general control. i find back flip versions much harder for some reason and often make a mistake. my front ones are solid. you can expand them into flipping circuits and 8s. what makes it easier is to separate out the flipping and turning inputs, making sure disk is flattened out (or as required) between, but separating inputs and flattening disk is good general rule for most maneuvers

i like that this combines with rolling loops. im not too bad at front rolling loops starting to the left, and im trying to master both directions, both tail first and nose. but combining with another type of manuever makes it very tricky. the spiraling in idea is nice touch, if it wasnt difficult enough

glad this section is getting some activity. learning new maneuvers is what its all about

I posted this in the other thread but it belongs here. One of my attempts. It's pretty bad, but the elements are there. I was going for 7, 6, 5, 4 rolls per loop in the spiral and 5 flips per rotation.

nice flying. for me, i think these complex ones are always going to be works in progress, everyone coming out a bit different. i wonder if they can ever be truly perfected. one that ive never really come close to getting right, even after several years trying is the piro loop ball. still, the thought of conquering the near impossible is what makes this hobby so amazing. there are no limits
